We run the Brand Leadership Course for Initiative of Heritage Conservation in Greece, a partnership to promote best practice in heritage management between the University of Athens and University of Kent. MA students in heritage management who come from a range of backgrounds~ including archaeologists to conservationists and classicists ~ explore the role and power of brand for the relevance and sustainability of heritage sites in Greece and beyond.

Walking the Talk
You need to walk the talk, lead by example and embody the values you promote. It’s not about paying lip service. You need to be open and collaborative, challenging and stretch oneself in the process ~ having the courage to share ones own success and failure along the way. It is about more than a PPT presentation and exercises. With attention to every detail, it needs to be a curated experience that sings with the message you’re communicating ~ whether the performative power of retail, or the consistency and coherence of brand.
We have led training courses from Greece, to the Ministry of Culture in France, to online learning in America through the Culture 24’s Let’s Get Real Programme. The learning never stops. Every project and every client is like plugging into an intellectually charged socket that brings further inspiration, insight and new ideas. As Seneca said: "When we teach, we learn."
Embracing the Innovation Loop
Innovation is driven by a cycle of product development, testing and data insight. In the training process, you need to focus on what you can learn from success and failure to inspire the next project. This ‘innovation loop’ learning cycle drives more analytical, risk taking and entrepreneurial cultures.
This methodology was at the heart of a year~long programme of professional development for the Manchester Art Gallery. This helped them understand basic principles of retail, business and entrepreneurial culture, test out approaches and practices and supported them in their learning and skills development.
